The road leading up to LaLuna is unpaved and bumpy, but don't be fooled by the drive, upon entering the resort you will realise that you've tumbled upon a hidden paradise.

The road leading up to LaLuna is unpaved and bumpy, but don't be fooled by the drive, upon entering the resort you will realise that you've tumbled upon a hidden paradise.
I spent my stay in Villa No.6, which was slightly set away from the others giving it an air of seclusion and solitude. The veranda had a stunning view of the ocean framed by natural luscious vegetation. The interiors of the villas were elegantly decorated and the spacious four-poster bed just emanated luxury. The open air shower was an equally a nice touch and made early morning showers a pleasure. The location of LaLuna means it's surrounded by natural wildlife, the exotic birds, piping frogs and fireflies at twilight added to the charisma of the resort. The private beach was lovely, and it has a gentle slope out to the coral reef that is host to a huge variety of fish. I definitely recommend investing in a few diving lessons, if they are not part of your package, to make the most of the experience. Scuba diving in the Caribbean is one of the best experiences in the world but the most important thing is for the diving resort to be a certified PADI centre which Laluna is - the world renowned certification for diving.
LaLuna also has a wonderful wellness centre that is equipped for all kinds of massage and therapy. The two masseurs originate from Bali and they ply their craft with authentic precision. The yoga studio is also superb and offers challenging daily classes in Hatha, Vinyasa and Kundalini, as well as Pilates. Situated right on the beachfront you can't help but get caught up in the experience.
For me one of the most memorable aspects of LaLuna, and Grenada in general, was that it exuded warmth and friendliness. The staff were genuine, welcoming, and considerate. I also noted the relationships between the staff members; they worked great as a team, and had the customers' best interests at mind. The locals had an equally welcoming nature, and were happy to share the history of their home. The Chef, Daniel, was also brilliant and took great pride in the creation of healthy meals with an original and creative flair. He is keen to please and took the time to talk to me about the ingredients, his recommendations and about what I wanted.
LaLuna possesses a luxury that is subtle yet tasteful and clean. It is a safe environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle, even on holiday. Its values on well-being and health left me feeling revitalised at the end of my holiday. Overall it's an idyllic place, with an enigmatic landscape, and an escape from the hustle and bustle of every day to enjoy the simplicity of life.
